About the role
Dizpharm Nigeria Limited runs automated tablet, capsule and packaging lines at its NAFDAC-certified plant in Ibusa, Delta State. We need a Blister Machine Operator and Technician who can both run the blister packaging line day to day and keep it mechanically healthy — minimising downtime and reject rates while holding GMP standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and changeover blister packaging machines for different products and pack sizes.
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, lubrication and minor mechanical/electrical repairs on the line.
- Diagnose and fix faults quickly to keep downtime and reject rates low.
- Monitor pack quality — sealing, foil/film registration, batch coding and fill accuracy — throughout each run.
- Maintain line clearance, cleaning and GMP documentation for every batch.
- Manage the changeover of forming film, lidding foil and tooling, and track spares and consumables.
- Work with the production pharmacist and engineers to plan maintenance and changeovers.
- Follow all safety, hygiene and good-documentation procedures on the floor.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining blister, sachet or comparable packaging machines.
- Practical mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting ability.
- OND, Trade Test, SSCE (technical) or equivalent practical training.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, GMP and clean-room discipline.
- Reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work shifts.
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to the Ibusa / Asaba axis of Delta State.
Nice to have
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or food/beverage manufacturing plant.
- Familiarity with specific blister-pack machine brands and their tooling.
- Basic pneumatics and PLC awareness.
