Dizpharm Nigeria Limited manufactures NAFDAC-certified medicines and Chrismatel table water from its plant in Ibusa, Delta State. We are hiring a Procurement Officer to take ownership of buying for both departments: active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients for our tablet, capsule and liquid lines; PVC/PVdC forming film, aluminium blister foil and printed packaging for the pharma plant; and preforms, bottles, caps, labels, sachet film and shrink wrap for the water plant. You will source, negotiate, order and expedite these materials so production schedules in both plants are never held up by missing stock.

## Responsibilities

- Source and purchase raw materials for the pharmaceutical plant: APIs, excipients, sweeteners, colours and flavours — to approved specifications.
- Source and purchase packaging materials for both departments: PVC/PVdC forming film, aluminium blister foil, printed cartons, leaflets and labels for pharma; preforms, bottles, caps, sachet film, labels and shrink wrap for Chrismatel table water.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules, and raise purchase orders for approval.
- Plan purchases against production schedules and re-order levels with the production pharmacist, water plant supervisor and store keeper, so materials arrive ahead of each run.
- Build and maintain a register of approved, reliable suppliers — local and import — and track their quality, pricing and delivery performance.
- Work with Quality Control so incoming materials arrive with certificates of analysis and pass inspection before acceptance; manage rejections and returns with suppliers.
- Follow up on open orders, clearing and deliveries, and keep accurate procurement records, GRNs and supplier files for audit.
- Track market prices, exchange-rate exposure and alternative sources, and report spend and savings to management.

## Requirements

- Degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years procurement or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable experience sourcing raw materials and packaging — ideally APIs, excipients or food/beverage inputs.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of cost savings without sacrificing quality.
- Disciplined record-keeping and comfort with stock-level planning, purchase orders and supplier documentation.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar tools for tracking orders, prices and stock.
- Honesty and integrity — this role handles company funds and supplier relationships.
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to the Ibusa / Asaba axis of Delta State.

## Nice to have

- CIPS / CIPSMN certification or membership.
- Experience importing materials — letters of credit, Form M, clearing agents and NAFDAC import documentation.
- Existing relationships with API, excipient or packaging suppliers serving the Nigerian market.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements for approved-supplier and incoming-material control.

**What qualifications and experience do I need?**

A degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related field. CIPS or CIPSMN certification is an advantage. At least 3 years in procurement or purchasing for a manufacturing company — pharmaceutical, food/beverage or FMCG preferred — including sourcing imported raw and packaging materials.

**Where is the role based? Is it remote?**

This is a full-time, on-site role at Dizpharm’s plant at KM 10, Ibusa-Asaba Expressway, Ibusa, Delta State, Nigeria. It is not a remote position — you’ll need to be based on the Ibusa/Asaba axis of Delta State or willing to relocate.
